Controller's Office at Gables One Tower - University of Miami
Sixto Architects provided design, construction documents and construction administration services for the University of Miami's Gables One Tower office building. The project required planning the interior space layouts as well as the selection of finishes and display shelving, the design of custom cabinetry and casework and the layout fixtures and equipment. The project involved complete demolition of existing spaces to accomodate the new layout.

        

Human Resources Offices at Gables One Tower - University of Miami

McKnight Building Renovation - University of Miami.
Sixto Architects provided design, construction documents, and will provide construction administration services for this two story 10,500 square foot facility on the University of Miami campus. The project includes a clinic space with exam rooms for university staff and office space for the Human Resources Department. The project involves exterior renovations and interior gut and renovation of two thirds of the existing office floor areas. New finishes, custom cabinetry, and new interior mechanical, electrical, and fire protection infrastructure are incorporated in the design.

       

Orovitz Physiology Lab - University of Miami
Sixto Architects provided design services fo the Physiology Lab for the University of Miami's School of Education. This 10,100 square foot space within the first floor of an existing campus building consists of grouping of large and small lab space requirements. Primary amongst these is the large open space with a variety of equipment for Cardiovascular, Muscle, Biomechanics and Fitness Equipment. Adjacent smaller spaces consist of a Hydro-Weight Room, a room DEXA equipment and a Biochem Lab. The Physiology Lab evaluates and treats university athletes as well as students, faculty and a limited number of the off-campus population.

   

       

Miami Dade College - Kendall Campus.
This 3,200 square foot office space addition was designed within an existing semi-exterior area located in the first floor of McCarthy Hall (building 6). The existing area consisted of tiered concrete seating areas which were demolished to accommodate new exterior walls which became the envelope for the new space. A new structural first floor slab at an elevated level of approximately four feet above existing grade was introduced, and the existing second floor of the building served as the top enclosure. New interior spaces were designed for what is now the computer information systems department. (Spillis Candela & Partners)
